A magnum painted by hand with the Madonna and Child, on a black background

Vorrei che nel mio vino qualcuno trovasse la mia anima.

I would like someone to find my soul in my wine.

Augusta

I studied art, and my wine began on paper too. This is my sketchbook: the crest and the wheel, the bottle and the colour of its capsule. And at the end, the bottles I paint by hand, one by one.

The crest

The mark comes from my family, an old Tuscan noble family whose name was originally Bargigli. There is a wheel in the crest: the same wheel that today circles my initials, on the capsules and the corks.

The bottle

Then the whole bottle: the glass, the label in its place, the colour of the capsule. I draw the Refosco next to the Ribolla and try a white, a red and a yellow capsule.
